And they gave me 7,000 on my 2001 f150 trade in.

How did I do??
Roughly 20% off MSRP between dealer discount and rebates, PLUS a number you liked on the trade in its hard to beat that.

Congrats, and enjoy the new truck!

Thanks - That's their standard rate, no negotiation there

I took them on the offer of Ford credit for additional 500 dollar discount and then refinanced immediately at a Credit Union at 1.89 (Ford was 5.x percent. OUCH). The finance guy knew I would refinance, but he tried to talk me into not doing it for three months.. Sounded sleazy to me and I'm guessing they don't get money from Ford if you refinance within that period.

I ended up getting about 27 percent off from MSRP due to a 2k Mustang rebate for trading in my 2013.

Great job. I'd gotten 23% off. 20-25% off should be pretty standard, and I'd argue more as 2017s start hitting the lots.

What should I shoot for on this. I found one I really like. Msrp after 1195 delivery fee added and a 2000 discount and 500 discount for 302 package and moonroof package comes to 50420 bottom line on window sticker. The dealer has a 3475 "dealer discount" advertised along with the 5050 incentive rebates for an internet price of 41895. I stopped earlier and looked at it and all they had on the truck was just the factory window sticker but a salesman came by and said we sell them at invoice. So probably 3400 or so less from what u are seeing on the window. I'm guessing he is talking about the "3475" dealer discount. With that said wouldn't invoice be more than 3475 off the 50420 price?? I'm thinking so and maybe I could get it less before adding all the 5050 discount of rebates.
Btw this a 302 XLT with moonroof and sport and fx4. Nav etc
