Anyone seeing this prompt? I'm thinking the update of the Ford Pass app might be responsible.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that screen on my truck.

Yeah, I started seeing that a week or two ago. Doesn't happen every time. Seems to be when I forget to take my phone with me.

This is why I disabled everything, they market your data. Insurance company for your driving habits, marketing for driving pattern where you may shop etc. Wondered why salesman was so determined to get me to download Ford app, told me bs that truck won't run without it

Dealer pushed me hard to download that crap. It said on an 'welcoming' email that I could only stop the data transmission by doing a master reset. Turns out you wipe out all your settings by doing that. Do they really send your driving info to your insurance company? I really doubt that, but curious of the answers. I thought you needed to have Ford Pass to get the complimentary 3-month Wi-Fi, but maybe I'm wrong. Am I? I don't really need to check my car's tires or gas from the phone, so if it's really that intrusive, and not necessary for the Wi-Fi, could do a master reset, but I'm lazy to reset everything again. Wish I knew before doing it.

EDIT: Tried using it now, and made me put all info again. When putting VIN, said it belonged to another car, but can't see it anymore. Erased the stupid app, and will find out how to do a master reset and get rid of it, even if I have to do all settings again. Shouldn't wipe out my seat memory, right? Just all the radio presets, no? How about the vehicle options on the middle screen? Can I use Wi-Fi without FordPass? Thx.

Actually, I saw that screen yesterday. It only stayed up for a few seconds and then went away.

you give away more from your cell phone and your ISP than anything else... the Ford app is trivial compared to that if anything at all.
