Damn Canadians...

;-)

It's just that you are from Minnesota and azzholes bother you....like they do me...since I am from Minnesota as well.

So..about touch-up paint.

Apply a small amount of base color to fill the chip without going over the edge. Do this 3-4 times waiting 2-3 hours between dabs.

Repeat with clear coat. apply clear in coats until the final amount breaks the surface tension of the surrounding paint and lays out. allow to dry for 3-4 days.

Use a pencil eraser with 1500 grit wet dry paper and rub until smooth. you may have to apply more clear if it is below the surface level. then buff.

how do you like that for Minnesota nice touch-up paint suggestions?
That's the touch-up procedure I was going to use...I have a very small rock chip on my hood. The guy at the dealer told me to use the Motorcraft pen and that I didn't need to apply a separate clear coat. That was the first time I heard that so I just thought I'd ask. Thanks for the suggestion though...I'll probably end up doing it that way minus the clear coats. As for it being Minnesota Nice...you have to work on being a little more passive aggressive...either that or I'm just that desensitized to it now.

You forgot to mention :Use a paper punch to make a nice round circle of sandpaper to fit on the end of the pencil eraser.
