Alabama.

We don't pay the normal retail sales tax on vehicles. They have a unique tax of their own. The state, county and city (if you live in one) all charge and the minimum total tax depends on where you live (if you pay less at the dealer they will charge you the difference when you get your plate. In this scenario most dealers will collect the extra if you prefer so it can be financed).

Maximum could be the dealers district if it's more. I never pay the Max. In that scenario I take delivery at my house. That makes my district the point of sale.

I bought that same truck minus the carpet plus the 3.73 elocker. He's going to enjoy it. That engine is a beast. Gobs of torque and still gets 21 in town and 27 highway. I came from an 5 cylinder Canyon which had less power and less MPG. I was lucky to get 19 in town and 24 on the highway. I'm old school and like chrome.

The regular cab is a joy to drive.

Nice Truck! Must be a beast with the 3.73 and 10R80.

I like the standard 3.55 10R80 Combo a lot better than the old 3.15 6R80. With the lower 1st gear and taller high in the 10R80 and it's like having 4.10 for launch and 3.15 for cruise in the old trans. With the shorter tire it is equivalent to the 10R80 4x4 with 3.73.

Is that Blue Jeans? If so his truck is the same color.

Seriously I paid almost 5k in sales tax, 10% on the price before rebates and PCO hurts. State makes out like a bandit. I need out of this state.

Nothing wrong with a basic truck!

I grew up riding in them!

My dad always bought the base model... rubber floor mats. vinyl bench seat, no AC, no Radio, roll up windows. but, the biggest V8 the factory could cram under the hood, and manual transmission. and he drove them until the bed fell off.
