Default Jack Stands

a pair of 3 ton jack stands enough to properly support the F150 for rotating tires?

I'd say so. I use one 3 ton stand and the jack to rotate tires front to back. If your really worried, use some 4X4's and crib the frame.

Certainly so - you could probably balance the entire truck on one (although I wouldn't). Since you've got 12,000 lbs of supporting capacity, and you're only holding up (roughly) half of a 5,000 lb truck, you're fine!

I've never used them so I'm just checking to make sure. Don't want to turn the stands into pancakes!
