Default Blown/Flat Tire?

So I purchased a 2015 Lariat SCREW in April. I have put about 6k miles on it so far. Minus the cooled seat and minor panel misalignment i love it.

Now down to the actual post: I woke up this morning and my front pax tire was completely deflated. The wife's audi comes with an air compressor. I grabbed it and re inflated the tire. Once it was re inflated to the correct PSI I started looking for the source of the problem. As soon as I backed the truck up 2 feet I could hear the loud hissing coming from the tire. There was what looked like a random flap of tire (where the tread is) blowing out the air. There was nothing in the tire (i.e nails etc...) and I hadn't driven it in over 24 hours.

What type of warranty do these tires have? Can I claim this through Ford or Goodyear and get a replacement tire or do I have to pay outta pocket?

Thanks in advance!

There should be a tire warranty information card with your owner's manual. There was with mine. If not, you can always contact the dealership. I'm not saying they will honor it but it's worth looking in to.

Discount tire is a good spot to repair tires (if it's repairable) and you can purchase a road hazard warranty as well as a lifetime rotation and balance warranty. I usually get my money's worth.

Hope everything works out. If it's a 4x4 and you have the Goodyear Wrangler AT with Kevlar I think they are $255 a piece.

Default Blown/Flat Tire?

Just an update in case Yall are wondering. Apparently some how while the truck was parked in my driveway I hit something and it threw a belt off inside the tire. Goodyear not honoring the warranty. Need to buy a new tire. Crappy Monday.

Yeah I went off-roading in my truck and it was just some dirt road with some rocks here and there and some inclines and stuff. Nothing really major like rock crawling.

Rear tire popped. (No)Goodyear or Good(for a)Year sucks ***.

That isn't true. If you are in the off-road or hunting world you have likely seen the Goodyear Duratrac tires. They are a stellar performing tire. I've had multiple sets on my 150. They wear faster but there is no better 4-season on the road in my opinion.
Tires are a funny thing, many folks truly do not understand how vital they are to your vehicle. I'd rather buy a new set of excellent tires every 2 years and have every bit of performance I need at every moment. All of that fancy crap we have on our vehicles is bunk without good tires.

eh, it is what it is. At least the Ford dealership is getting me a new tire for $220 instead of $255 on tire rack. Not too shabby. Good service at Hixson in Leesville.
