I have the same concern. Had mine done under warranty. CSP specifically says it covers 1 job only. I am now outside of the 1 year warranty on any service work. Mine are still very quiet but I expect they may fail again.

Ford really needs to goodwill second jobs when the HL3Z version fails.

I saw a video by Ford Teck Makulocco (sp?) which he put on youtube a few days ago and he said to make sure Ford uses the updated version of the phasers.

I thought I read the HL3Z-CD is basically the same as the ML3Z phasers?

That's what I thought. Maybe it was suspected at the time but more experience now shows the ML3Z do not fail again while some -CD may?

I got my forums mixed up. Here is the link where RMB Ryan from RMB motors talks about it. If you have the HL3Z-CD one you are pretty good. He talks about some other issues with the cylinder head casting that also contributes to issues.
