Bro, that is WAY too much weight on that rim to balance a tire. Id try to give the tires back and get a refund, then get some different tires. There is something serious wrong here with the tires.

Totally agree! I think Discount Tire is doing the best they can it's the tires that are the problem. I'd get a refund and go with a different brand.

Hey guys. Mystery solved!!

first I want to thank @Discount Tire he has done a tremendous amount to coordinate with the manager about solving this and everyone has been great. Part of the reason why I have been a customer for 10 years. They already have some tires ordered for me and are coming in

now what was found out. When I was calling around for a second opinion I accidentally got a hold of the regional hunter rep thinking it was a shop. I apologized and almost hung up but he asked why I was calling. He took 20min out of his day to listen and brain storm what the problem could be. He gave me a shop that specializes in lifted trucks that uses hunter

I brought it in today for them to balance and they confirmed I was not crazy! Two of the tires are rolling in an “oval shape” and slapping the ground. They said it may get better but that they would just get them replaced. They moved them to the back and even with these adjustments the truck is riding a ton better

discount is getting the new tires in next week and the back two will be swapped.

great to have resources on the forum that quickly coordinated and got resolutions to the issue. The extra outside balance was only 40 bucks so I’m not crying over that. 40 we’ll spent to get answers. Shout it to gateway tire as well for being awesome and hunter

have a great weekend all and I will update with final resolution!

You won't find a better company to deal with than Discount Tire.I've been doing business with them for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else.Their service is outstanding and I hope they never change

Just want to give you an ending to the saga

replaced the two problem tires and everything has been smooth sailing. Literally. Very impressed with the ridge grapplers. Very quiet and super smooth

Also very happy I went with discount. They work with you to get it right. They said we will start with two and if we need to replace the front we will as well.

@Discount Tire is a great resource and coordinated everything that needed to be done.

while this did take a few balances to recognize the issue- I did switch stored after my second so it could have elongated the time to solve.

all in all very happy and just another reason you stick with physical stores like discount. I can’t imagine the headache of dealing with this from an online vendor

From my experiences with DT, they have ALOT of room to negotiate with their customers. I would be amazed if they didnt price match.
