Ipod without AUX input jack
I just got a 2017 XLT SCAB 4x4 3.5l EcoBoost w/302a package. There is no AUX input mini-phono jack that I can find. My wife likes to play her Ipod through the radio speakers. Since the Ipod only outputs through a mini-phono jack, has anyone found a way to hook it in? I am willing to pull the radio out of the dash if there is an AUX input on the back that I can wire to.

I generally play my iPod by plugging it into the USB port in the center console compartment in front of the shifter. If you don't have the center console see if plugging it into another USB port will work. It is a much better way to use your iPod over the aux input anyways.

Will an Ipod play through its USB charging cable? If so, I am saved.
I do have the center console, but that drawer only has a pair of USB ports.
I think the 2016 had an AUX mini-phono input and SD card slot. The 2017 has neither.

Yes. My IPOD Touch never comes out. It's plugged in the USB and always hidden. Takes a while for it to sync all artists and songs when you start up but it's all controlled from the Sync system.

I have a 2016 truck and my ancient IPod works great. It's one of the old 60GB hard drive units, I think it was called an iPod video. My Sync 3 knows it's called "Mark's iPod" and will start it with a voice command. It shows album art and will run in random play mode. I was keeping it in the center cubby by the USB ports but have it in the glove box with a temp wire outside around the edge of the glove box....plan to drill and grommet a hole in the cubby and run the wire under the center console to the back of the glove box to hide it....like my 2012 Odyssey has from the factory...<sigh>...
