iPhone volume
Is there a way to have the iPhone volume raised higher by default without have to increase the volume by the radio ****?? The voice to place a call is a lot louder than when the iPhone takes over. I have a 2019 XLT Special Edition Sport. Thanks
I think the OP is asking about having the default volume higher when you use the phone over the radio. On mine, when I answer or initiate a call, I always have to crank up the volume **** on the radio to be able to hear the person on the other end. I generally have to crank it up to about 20 to hear the person. If the default volume was higher initially, it wouldn't be a big deal. I can adjust the nav volume to a higher level for default through the nav pages. Just haven't found a way to do it with the phone part of the radio. Good luck to you litigator!!
Turn the volume up on the phone?
Is the phone call volume currently set low?
Good test would be to raise the volume of the phone during a call once. Then accept a call while you're connected to Sync to see if that's it.
The only to achieve what you are asking is if the connection to Sync would disable the volume of the phone and use only its own source. That isn't how it works though.
Same thing with music, if you listen to music on your phone at the lowest setting while in your house then connect to your Sync system, you'll need to crank Sync to get music louder. Or you may elect to turn up volume on your phone instead, or both.

I always have the volume for my iPhone at max, and you can barely hear the other party without earbuds. So that doesn't help. And yes, it's very annoying having to crank the volume up to 22 (in my case) on EVERY freaking call. The good news is I rarely talk on the phone while driving. But I agree stupid Sync should at least remember the last volume you set on the phone, like it does with navigation. Or a separate setting; nav has that too.

That's not normal at all. There is something wrong there.
I rarely change the volume and I use it all the time(for work), both ways (Car play or BT) and I think it's set at 10 and I consider that loud...the only time I turn it up is when it's raining because the cabin is LOUD in the rain but I try to avoid calls when it's raining for safety and because it's hard for the other person to hear me.
It could be operator error or something wrong with your phone or phone settings. What model iPhone and what's the software? Try looking up if there are any known issues with that.

My truck also defaults to 10, so it's the same as your truck, so nothing wrong with Sync, apparently. The problem is that's not enough for me, so have to crank it up to 20 or 22 each time, just like the other guy who said the same thing. Maybe you have dog's hearing. Ha ha. My hearing is not bad at all, but truck is not quiet by any means (not loud, but not quiet), so can't hear the other person well if I leave it at just 10. Will check the phone's volume next time, and see if that makes a difference. Thanks.

I think, maybe, they default to ten because if the truck is parked and off, the volume is OK.
If it was louder, while parked, it would blast you out. Unless you are rumbling down the road.
Who knows? I really don't care because it all works very well with Siri.
