Default Invoice Pricing

I'm new at this whole new vehicle buying thing... I bought a new Fusion for my wife in 2012, but I used X Plan so I didn't do any haggling or anything... Then I got talked into the Maintenance Plan (which my wife loves but I think we got ripped off a bit).

Anyway, I was curious how everyone goes about finding the invoice prices on trucks. I am going to have a 2016 built before long and I want to make sure I don't get raked over the coals again... I've built the truck I'm going to order on Ford's website, but I wanted to find out what the invoice price is.

I appreciate any help you can give me!

Search for the thread 2016 order guide, I believe they have a price list mentioned around page 16-20 posted by QuickM3 iirc. Anyway, that should get you a little more informed on the prices for the items you are wanting. It is very detailed.

Check out this thread, https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2016-...03796/index18/. On page 18, post #174 user geronimo attached a pricing guide. It has invoice price and MSRP itemized for you so you'll know exactly where you stand.

Hope this helps!

When you send the dealership your specs they can provide you their build sheet that lists the MSRP and Invoice of all the different aspects of your build.

I am just purchasing a 2016 for $1,000 less than invoice, minus rebates at delivery.

What dealership did you purchase from? I'm in the KC area and I only know of one that will even do anything (openly) with invoice pricing. They advertise that they sell "$300 under invoice"

I like $1,000 under invoice better!

Thanks so much! This is exactly what I was looking for. This forum really is an "ask and you shall receive" area!

Some dealerships are terribly dysfunctional on the internet. Others are a "you do the work, not me" kind of place.

I've found various programs that generate discounts (Costco, USAA, etc.) that trigger emails to dealerships get maybe a 40% buy-in from the dealer, i.e. 60% of them don't ever reach out.

Then, when you try to hand them a deal on a platter, some want nothing to do with it. The fact that you say "here's the config I want, here's the invoice, what price will you charge me" results in a "too low margin for us" or similar and therefore no response is incomprehensible - but many dealerships are like that.

Ok so I have a second question for you... I looked at the pricing breakdown thanks to the info above... I was looking at the 3.5 Ecoboost, but when I build it online it gives me a $1,200 jump. According to the sheet, that is the "3.5L EcoBoost ilo 2.7L EcoBoost" What exactly does that mean? What's the difference between that and the "3.5L EcoBoost ilo 3.5L TiVct?" I don't even see an option for that engine given that it comes in at a suggested retail of $1,995.

I'm confused!
