Default Interior and Tonneau Question

Hey all. I'm looking at ordering a 2015 Lariat and I have a question about the interior and tonneau options I'm hoping some of you can answer.

I'm considering the black leather interior option. The biggest responses to this option from people are "it's gonna be hot" and "it's gonna show dirt easily". Not all vehicles being the same, what have your experiences been? Has the 2015 interior been oven prone? Does it make that big of a difference in the F-150?

As for the dirt, I'm usually pretty crud-conscious in my vehicles. I'm not concerned about the floors. How have the black leather seats been holding up? Are they as annoying to keep looking good as a black paintjob? Or...?

For the tonneau, I'm considering the hard cover option from Ford. Thoughts?

I have a Black interior in my 2011 F350 and has held up great and except for dust when the windows are open on warm days it does not show dirt. I have had gray and tan in past trucks and found the seats to show more dirt. I ordered Black again in my 2015 Platinum. As for fords cover I have no idea as I am going with a Undercover Flex tri fold.

My last 4 vehicles, which have been Ford's, have all had black leather interior. I've never had an issue with dirt. My 2015 Lariat has black leather interior as well. I don't see heat as an issue either. If it's hot outside, the seats regardless of color will be hot. I ordered a sunshade to help keep the inside cooler during the summer months.

The Ford hard cover is a late availability option. I'm going with the Retrax Pro Mx on my truck.

The Retrax Pro Mx is a great cover. You will NOT be disappointed. Much better than anything the factory offers.

Once I get confirmation that the Roll-X (or whatever they'll call it post-naming rights issue) works with the auto-drop tailgate I'll probably get that.

I had black interior on another vehicle (gray for my 2012) and I wouldn't say it was any hotter than any other car on a hot date with the windows up.

After having light grey leather interior in my previous 2 new vehicles, I went black this time hoping it doesn't show as much dirt/wear.

Remote start and air conditioned seats. The black interior will be just fine.

I have posted pictures and comments on the Ford Hard Tri-fold cover which I believe you can order now

I had to order mine thru the parts department as I didn't want to hold up my build which took long enough. Just installed it on 3/27 and took my regular 60mile roundtrip commute with it today - 40mile highway & 20 mile city. Looks like I got about 0.3mpg improvement with it installed Normally 21.5mpg today was 21.8mpg will have to do more driving to see if this holds up - so far I like it. I am also showing some pictures of my camel leather interior which I got with the 60/40 seat option which I really like as it allows me to have 6 passengers The leather stays nice and cool when you use a sunshade on the front window.

The Retrax Pro Mx is $1700 not 2500 unless you want a power Retrax that is $2500. Don't know anyone who gets the power option.
