Default Interior LED Lighting

I've heard some people talking about door handle wells changing colors. I've seen cup holder and foot well lighting in pictures.

What does the 2015 F150 come with as far as interior LED accent lighting?
Is it based on trim level / package?
Is this kit redundant then? It does say compatible with 2015 F150.

I don't know what trim level it starts with, but it's called ambient lighting. My 502A Lariat had it and my 601A KR has it.

The door handle wells, cup holders, under the steering column, above the glove box, under pass side dash, rear door handle wells, under front driver and pass seat- hell, everywhere. It's neat. I think you can choose from 7 colors and you can adjust the brightness of each color. My daughter loves it. I don't, because it's always pink when she rides with me.

Haha thanks Booze. I'll probably pass on the pink too.

Since you say 7 colors that leads me to believe the kit I linked is redundant, unless that is the one that was installed for you.

Edit: I checked and "Ambient Lighting" is listed on my order.

I should have checked your link and vehicle details in your signature. I overlooked both. Yes, the light kit would be redundant since your 502A has the Ambient Lighting. Accessible from the Sync touch screen. Settings>Vehicle>Ambient Lighting - this pulls up a color wheel.

Thanks for confirming. It would be nice if they called it the same thing, or at least said that the kit wasn't needed on 502A and higher.

I think it could have been cool if they added an option to shuffle the colors.

I love the red ambient on my all black interior but it's such a pain in the **** to change it I imagine I'll leave it on that setting.
