Default Intercooler Sludge

He guys, there is an appearant issue with previous gen where they are experiencing a build up of blow by in the inner cooler causing the dreaded wrench CEL. The fix for some is to put a 1/16 hole in the inner cooler allowing the blow by PVC crap a place to drain. So my question, are the 15-18 Eco Boost experiencing this issue ? I've not read or seen it discussed in the 15+ section, anyone experiencing this or have feedback ?
Of corse the catch can comes to play here as well, but has anyone in new gen experienced this same issue ?

It's been discussed ad-nauseum on the forum, which a search would reveal. 15+ do not need the weep hole.

My 2011 and 2014 didn't have that issue either. I removed the intercooler @ 21K miles on my 2011 to clean it and it was bone dry so I just re-installed it.

Several design changes were implemented in the 15+ trucks. Therefore, they do not have the condensation issue that many see on the previous 11-14.

My 2012 f150 eco had the intercooler condensation issue and almost killed 4 of us. I was merging onto route 80 and truck started to buck and jerk and wouldn't go over 30 mph. With big rigs and cars going 70 mph they were in my rear view mirror and locking up their brakes and steering off the road as I was also....We all managed to just miss each other.....We had to sit there and idle for 10 minutes until the engine cleared out... the fix was to hang a piece of plastic over the intercooler and take 2 lbs. of boost off...

I have removed the silicone intercooler lines on my 2018, & found that it is drawing in oil. I cant see any signs of enough collecting in the intercooler that it is sucking it in on the other side, but if it does, I might consider drilling a weep hole. Truck is completely stock. Have considered a catch can too, but worried about having issues with check valves freezing, & don't want the extra maintenance of constantly having to check the level & emptying it.

I am also dealing with a fuel dilution issue in the engine oil, but have just decided to change oil on a 3000 mile interval.

Just wondering if any one has drilled in a 2018 yet?

This looks pre-rehearsed!
