Default Intelligent Access FOB Programming

Hi guys. Newcomer to this site and I'm very happy I found it. My question involves the programming of a new Intelligent Access FOB. Although the dealer gave me 2, I need another. After research, all information, videos, etc., show how to program new FOBs in trucks with bucket seats and center consoles, using the handy slot molded into these that enables the computer to read them. My truck has the 40/20/40 front seat. Nobody mentions these and I cannot find any location to place the FOBs in for reading/programming. Any help? Thanks in advance.

Hi. I'm a dumba** for not including that info. It's a 2016 Lariat. My issue is that the truck has a 40/20/40 seat and I can't find that location to put the new fob into while the computer reads it. If it has a center console, this wouldn't be an issue. Thanks for your help.

The only thing that I could find in the Shop Manual is this picture, which seems to indicate that it is for a key type remote.

Does your fob possibly fit somewhere in there? If it does, follow the programming hints on this forum or the owners manual.

Glad it worked out.

Don't feel bad, because I read the Owner's Manual first, and saw no mention of your particular situation, i.e. no ignition key, no console. If I did not have the Shop Manual picture I would not have a clue on how to do it.

Are you listening, Ford?
