Default Inteior Question

I've been searching for some info on this, can't get a clear answer on Ford's website. Are there different interior color options for an XL? From what I see, most come in what I'm seeing being called "Medium Earth Gray", which looks like beige. I've been looking at some in person and I personally think its ugly. I can't afford a nicer trim level, but I happen to prefer the column shifter anyways. If I got an XL, I would plan to buy leather seat covers, which I've seen done on here. My question is, are there multiple color options for the interior? I'd like to get something that could match leather seats. Answer? Thoughts?

Pretty clear to me using the configurator, selecting exterior color, then clicking on interior, that it is the only choice on an XL. XLT has choices and great rebates usually.

Why go through the trouble/expense of putting leather seat covers in an XL? I agree that the medium earth gray cloth seats are hideously ugly and cheap looking, so I ordered my XL with vinyl seats (medium gray) rather than the default cloth seats, and they look great! I mean really great! Any decent-sized dealer should have a truck or two in stock with the vinyl seats that you can check out.

Ok I took a second look on Ford's website, I now see the vinyl option. I also see the console option, which I really like, but it looks like you can't get the console with the vinyl? I've actually been to 2 dealerships recently to check some trucks out and I didn't notice any XL's with the vinyl...only different interior I saw was on the higher trim levels like the Platinum. I can't even seem to find a pic on here, do you have a pic of your interior?

I have an XL with the grey cloth and really like it. I don't find it to have a beige tint to it at all. Unfortunately, my wife is worried about the cloth getting dirty so I ordered leatherette seat covers recently. She wins again! If I could do it again I would have sought out the vinyl.

I believe I built an XL with vinyl, console, and column shifter on Ford's website. Unless they changed something for 2016. That's the combo I'd like, but I've never seen it on a dealer lot. I'd also like the 5.0 and 3.73's, so I figure getting all those particulars on one truck would be almost impossible without special ordering.

I'd like some pictures of the vinyl interior also if anyone cares to post one up.

Interesting. Yea, It seems to be one or the other, I can't get the console with the vinyl, which is what I really want, so hopefully there are some 15's out there with it.

I don't have pics of my interior handy, but you can go to any dealer's web site and search New inventory/ F150 / XL and there are usually many pics. Here are some examples from my closest large Ford dealer, Crossroads Ford in Cary, NC, which has 623 F150s, 150 of which are XLs, and a bunch of those with vinyl. Hard to tell from these low res pics, but the central panels have a subtle texture.

I believe I built one that way with the "build and price". Was for 2015's though if I did. I may be mistaken. Was building my budget dream truck lol. Vinyl should be more popular. I think people would like it vs cloth, especially if they offered a few different colors. Poor man's leather.

Careful with the vinyl, it gets brittle over time and will be cracking in a couple years.
