I was watching a YouTube Video today for the Roush intake and they tell you to take some air mixer fins (not sure what to call them) out during the install. They are right where the intake turns into 2 tubes and there is one in each tube.




So I took them out. They seemed restrictive and I thought that they used to sell these things as tornadoes on TV years ago
Back then I think they proved that they were bunk.


I am not sure what affect this will have on the truck. I did notice that my truck did push more peak boost on my Economy tune that was 13.77 peak to 13.93 peak.

Please let me know if anyone else has experience with this.

 

A bunch of people removed them and I think the general consensus was they are only for noise reduction.
