Default Installing old bed extender

I want to install the bed extender from my 2011. The old bolts are steel and as far as I can tell the attachment threads are aluminum. What can I coat the bolts with to prevent corrosion?

How big of a problem will I have if I use the steel bolts on the aluminum?

I believe that the bed dimensions between an '11 and a '15 are different and the factory bed extender has a different part number and isn't interchangeable.

I installed my bed extender out of my 04 into my 15 and it fit just fine. I coated my "bolts" with a product called RustBullet and also put Permatex on the threads.
