Default Possibly the dumbest question ever...

Coming from a 2006 Toyota Tacoma, this truck is MUCH larger than anything I've ever owned. Even larger than my wife's 2001 Toyota Sequoia. I took it on a 1,000 mile road trip this weekend and when I got back, just had to detail it!

OK, here's the dumb question... How the heck do you wash the center of the roof near the windshield, the center of the front windshield by the wipers and the center of the hood nearest the windshield? I'm 6' tall and stand on the running board but I cannot reach the center 'ridge' of the roof, nor can I reach the lower center portion of the windshield or the center portion of the hood by the windshield.

Is there a 'trick' that I'm missing? I can't believe a step stool would help because I would have to leave it so far from the truck (so I don't scratch the paint) that I still couldn't reach those spots.

So, what am I missing?

I use a brush with a long handle on it, works much better than just a hand sponge

Are your arms short for your height?

I'm 6' and step on running board to get front/top of roof and windshield. Hood center section up by wipers i get from the front of the truck.

If standing on the sill doesn't work, try standing on the top of the tire. That'll get you some extra reach.
