I am a week in with my new F-150 and thought I would share some of my thoughts on this truck.

So far I can honestly say this is my favorite vehicle that I have ever owned. I drive 30+K miles per year so I like to enjoy my time in the car. I have driven everything from a VW Passat to a Ram Ecodiesel in the last 10 years. The F-150 in my opinion is my clear favorite.

My truck is a 2.7L Super Crew XLT, 302A, Sport, FX4 PKG. The ride is car like and much better than the Subaru I traded for it. The truck is very quiet an feels solid and well built.

When on the road the 2.7 has scary amounts of power. I found myself where I felt the need to jam the gas pedal, and was shocked with how fast and forceful the power kicked in.

Feature wise, this truck has some cool gadgets. I love the productivity screen, the LED box lighting is awesome to have with a tonneau, and having two 120 volt plugs is awesome with the kids. The truck also has TONS of room. The back up camera works awesome with the parking sensors. I love the locking tailgate.

I am averaging 21.5 MPG over 500 miles since purchasing it. In a 4x4 crew cab gas pick up, I am very happy with that.

Only issue so far is a slight wheel balance issue the dealer is taking care of tomorrow, other than that, my silver beauty is perfect!

My wife is giving me a hard time because she won't fit in the garage, she says it is only a matter of time before I trade it. I'll sell the house before my truck! I love this thing!

Awesome. Glad to read some good news for once.

However sorry to hear that your wife won't fit into the garage. Hopefully you won't trade her too soon because she sounds like a keeper since she let you get the truck.

Meh. My 2015 Lariat SuperCrew lives outside. Wife's Acura gets one side, and my Harley and lots of other crap take up the other side.

So the truck lives outside...

She wasn't thrilled about the truck. Says it is a big kids toy. She is not a Ford fan, even though the only car to make it to 100K with her driving it was an 08 Mazda Tribute (rebadged Ford Escape). Although in the week I have had it, she has stolen it twice so shes not fooling anyone.

I probably would be up around 23 MPG though if she hadn't taken it. She loves to put her foot on the floor.

I just want to make sure that you meant your awesome truck won't fit in you garage!
The first thing I did when I got my truck was trying to fit her in my garage and its ok or else I returned it already. That's one of the reasons why I had a hard time choosing this truck with 231.9 " length for Screw at least. Much longer than the Ram, GM twins and Tundra.

I actually test drove the model truck I wanted to my house and put it in the garage. It actually didn't go all the way in because I have to move a shelf out of the way but it was close enough to know that after I move the shelf it will fit. Mine is still on order but a mandatory feature was the power folding mirrors otherwise I'd be doing that manually each time to be able to get in to the garage. Its still a tight fit but it will work.

That is correct, it won't fit. I have a really shallow garage though.

Nothing a pile of cash can't fix though.

My wife insisted I could not order the truck if it didn't fit in the garage. I brought one home and was able to close the garage door. only 1 inch of clearance front and back though. She ran out of excuses. LOL

Mine will too, just like the current truck does. Camaro and Harley get the garage.
