I personally don't care about mpg in any of my trucks, sure it's an added bonus when you can push 860 lbs at 23 mpg but even if it was 13 I would have bought! Just me though

Has there been real world proof that after a couple thousand miles on the 3.5 EB, your MPG increases?

I had a 2009 F250 Triton V10, and from mile 1, I got 8 MPG around town. At mile 52000, I still got 8 MPG around town...

This is why I'm a bit skeptical.

Congrats on your new F250 Lariat with the Powerstroke. You're right, I've seen F250 Lariats priced the same or cheaper than some F150 trim levels.

With winter fuel my 11 Eco averaged 17-18 mpg winter .. My 15 is around 19-20 mpg .. My initial impression is about what I'm expecting so I'm satisfied with it

Some people will swear that these engines are "so tight" that they need a few thousand miles to "loosen up" before they get optimal MPG. Has anyone shown real world proof? No, because it's total BS.
