Another thousand words, still no pics.
I don't see anyone taking anything personal in this thread, just because someone is calling you out doesn't mean they are the ones taking it personal.
What is disturbing about this is that, as a buyer, you have a responsibility to accept your new vehicle. You need to do a detailed walk around in sufficient light and not accept a new truck until you are 100% satisfied either with the vehicle or the in-writing promises by the dealer to resolve anything not up to expectations. Also as is the case here but not applicable to your concerns, if you are taking a vehicle that you have not driven, you need to drive it, as much as needed to be comfortable that there are no issues before acceptance.
Drive it, look it over, test out all of the features, document issues, accept your new truck - that's the way it works and if you would have done YOUR job, you would not be in this situation!!!!!

I feel sorry for the OP because if you are that demanding then I doubt any car would ever live up to your expectations. Not even a Ferrari or Porsche will be perfect. AND even if it was perfect (100% flawless, not a single imperfection), how long would that last? We live in a world with door dings, rock chips, hail, dirt, etc. I mean... yeah.
I am not saying that some of the panels are not messed up beyond acceptability. No panel should be uneven. No door should leak water. Etc. But if a door is hung 1/32nd of an inch off from top to bottom and this bothers you then my god...

Before purchasing my 2014 I gave it a full walk around inspection on my own to look for any defects or damage. Then before I signed any paper work the salesman made me do the same with him. I didn't really need to at that point but he insisted.
As **** as the OP seems to be, I'm surprised he just went ahead and signed the dotted line and accepted the truck without looking it over.

Have you ever actually sat in a new Ferrari? The interior is shockingly pathetic from a quality and fit & finish perspective. Worse than a GM product from the 70's, not kidding. Now of course I realize folks don't buy Ferrari's for a luxury interior experience, but still....
So, don't ever use Ferrari as a poster child for automotive quality.

1780 views in under 12 hours on my first thread. Im shocked, thank you all even though I feel most people were attracted to the title and opened the thread to stir up the pot or practice their debating skills for some popcorn eating entertainment Im sill greatfull. Most are trying to argue when they are actually agreeing with me that nothing is perfect, all will have something and most things can be fixed and some are way worse then yours. If someone views this and helps them set their mind at ease and love their truck a little more Id been even more happy then I already am. God bless guys and thank you

It did impress a client though. No accounting for standards I guess.

"Is there someone who has been paying attention better than I who can add to the list of issues one should check before signing on the dotted line when picking up a new truck? Here is what I have so far:
List of Issues
Visual Inspection
· Visible paint problems, (door jambs) cracks, malformed body panels
· Check the space between the cab/ bed, make sure the gap is the same both sides.
· Cab/bed alignment
· Check if door gap is even, door alignments
· Climb into the bed and look down into the rooffor paint or malformation
· Hood/cowl /fender alignment / interference
· Tailgate alignment
· Sheet Metal smoothness ( especially @ doorhandles )
· Cracked window moldings
· Cowl joint weatherstrip
· Check keypad orientation
· Tailgate remote opening - sticking
· Tailgate damper - missing
· Roof gutter seam
· Frowning bumper :-(
· Check intake tube clamps for tightness
· Open/close doors, hood, tailgate
Under side
· Oil leaks, stains under the truck
· Differential leaks/seeping
· Rust on frame, drive line, etc
· F/R Differential rust
· Check door sticker for ORDERED axle code L9 (3.55 ELD )
· check the heat shield material glued to bottomof the truck bed.
Interior
· leaks on the carpet, stains
· Sunroof leakage (do the carwash)
· discoloration of glove box
· Rear seat center armrest fits flush
· Try All Seatbelts - extension problems
· Check the dashboard for any warps above the instrument cluster by the VIN plate and around the area of the passenger side airbag
Operation/drive tests

· Check presence/ absence of heat/cooled seat controls on Climate Control screen.
· Console Rattle
· rattle noise at startup
· rattles in the dash

· wind noise, door, cabin
· Wind noise from top passenger side of windshieldor front door seals
· Shaking mirrors
· cooled (heated) seats that don't work
· Torque convertor whine noise
· Drifting to the right (or left) on flat level roads(check tire pressure first)
· 4x4 operation grinding clunking
Long term issues
· leather seat stretch(may take time)
· Be aware of possible adaptive cruise control issues
· Check for the rear end bumping to the side whengoing over bumps
· harsh downshift going from 5th - 4th (tsb may fix)
· Door/locks that freeze in cold weather after moisture is introduced
· Tailgate step pops up by itself (by half of aninch) over bumps
Drive it on a smooth road to listen for air leaks and test tracking, drive it on a bumpy road to listen for rattles and hums, take it thru a car wash to check for leaks(sunroof)."

Yes, that's the one I am talking about. I recall seeing an assembly video where that was welded together but you might be right. It didn't bother me all that much because I only saw it while getting out of the truck and using the step bar.
