Default Idle issues and small intake backfire?

I am having a rough idle in my 2018 5.0 xl/stx 145k+ miles I have done vvt solenoids and checked for vacuum leaks. considering it being cam phasers Possibly? I also have what I believe to be a small backfire when I let off the throttle occasionally.

Wondering if there is any input on this.

truck feels healthy just trying to keep it that way and take preventive measure.

Welcome to the forum.

Check for any codes using Forscan. When was the last spark plug change? Have you cleaned the throttle body?

I don’t have a forscan device so I haven’t checked that not check engine light codes have been thrown.

plugs were done about 50k ish ago

I haven’t cleaned the throttle body last time looked at it didn’t look dirty to my recollection I can try that first not gonna hurt.

Exactly. Won't hurt. Give it a good clean and when you get it buttoned back up fire it up but don't touch the gas pedal and leave it running on its own for 15 mins or so. Let it relearn. Ford Tek make you loco mentioned this in one of his videos.

Pop the map sensors and give them a look and clean if needed. Not sure how many you truck has but my 2.7 has 3.
