What plant was your truck built at?
I would call Ford customer service and tell them about this, not as a complaint but as a thought you should know. With the VIN they know exactly what time the truck was assembled, and therefore what shift worked that day.. And the location of the trash can narrow it down to where the truck was on the line and at what stage. They may want to address this with their workers; as a supervisor I know I would.

There was a bad flood in my area a couple of years ago and of course you have to rip the walls out to repair your house. Many home owners found beer cans, liquor bottles, tools and all types of trash inside of the walls of their homes.

Garbage in the walls is very very common. If you've ever had to take down a cinder block wall, I'm sure you've seen a ton of junk thrown into the holes as well. Surprised to see that in a truck though. Maybe they just thought it would be funny to hide it and it wasn't really a matter of being lazy. I had a smiley face drawn in grease pencil under the carpet of my Volkswagen Passat's trunk. Could have been the previous owner but I doubt the old man I bought it from would do that.

Still remember about 30+ years ago, before our area went with annual license renewal stickers as opposed to giving steel licence plates, I picked up my plates and there was handwriting with magic marker, saying "Help. I'm being held here against my will" Licence plates were at that time made by inmates at various Jails. Not sure if they still make them there. Thought it was quite funny.
