Default I didn't know that!!

Took my 2017 truck in for oil change and was talking to service advisor about crazy cost to upgrade maps for my GPS. He showed me that with Sync 3 I can use Android Auto or Apple play just as if I didn't have factory GPS. Added that Waze had the most up to date mapping. "I had no idea you could do that". Bet the parts department would not tell you that!

Android auto is the best. Glad your dealer showed that to you, but they should have done that at delivery!

My salesman sat in my truck with me, asked me if I had android or ios, then we set everything up. He showed me every little control, button, adjustment, bluetooth, all of it.

You mean your salesman actually knew how everything worked and took the time to show you?

Yes he did, he sells on average 10 F150's a month.....I am one of the lucky ones, knowledgeable salesmen and an outstanding service department at my local dealer.

I love Android Auto, but it's too bad it disables the apps. I couldn't live without my Alexa app so I just use it when I need the maps.

Troll! We all know this can’t be true!

You are indeed lucky to find a salesman that actually knows his stuff. Better stick with that one if he also gives you fair pricing.

Mine too, it took about 45 minutes and I forgot about half of it before I left the lot. LOL. But it was very helpful and much appreciated. :-)

Why should a salesman show you Android Auto? Should they show you about Pandora and Google Maps as well? I agree it would be nice, but shouldn't be expected.

It's a feature they talk about in the sales literature. If they show you how to pair your phone, use voice commands, access the climate controls or nav on sync3, then they should also show you AA or CP.
