Hey guys, if I get an oil change do I need to set it back to stock? Dealer is offering free oil changes for some reason so I figure it's a perfect opportunity to change the oil right before 3.000 miles then I can go to a 7.5 -10k schedule. Most of this stuff looks like it wouldn't require a computer check...or should I just flash it back everytime I go near the dealer to be safe? Thanks in advance.

THE WORKS VEHICLE CHECKUP
• Oil Change
• Tire Rotation and Pressure Check
• Brake Inspection
• Multi-Point Inspection
• Fluid Top-Off
• Battery Test
• Filter Check
• Belts and Hoses Check

as long as they don't reflash the PCM due to harsh 5-4 downshift. I would reflash back to stock, ask them to perform the PCM recalibration, update the Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator firmware and recalibrate the speedometer.

I haven't had any shift issues yet, hopefully never. Is there still a point to recalibrate the PCM? I also haven't had an issue with the hypertech, it worked great....should I still update and reflash? I am new to all this stuff and not sure about this stuff. Any explanation would be much appreciated.

I always suggest updating to the latest calibration whenever possible. New calibrations usually address several issues that you may not even be aware of - like the reverse to forward shift hesitation.

Keep in mind if the dealer reflashes the PCM you will need to update the firmware in your Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator

Bottom line, does Ford have a problem (warranty wise) if I use Hypertech?

Should this be purchased directly from Hypertech (Warranty again) or just search for the best deal?

To me it would make more sense to ask Ford directly and get it documented rather than asksome random people in a forum on the Internet that can't give you an official answer.

I hear ya...After years of owning many new vehicles/brands, they don't commit in writing to anything that alters from stock. I've had the techs tell me not to worry but when I've requested something documented, it was like asking for Money-->

Just talked to Hypertech, they only have Inline for my vehicle at this time. Told me next year the Speedometer Calibrator version will become available.

I got my Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator last week, I had to fine tune the tire size to get my speedometer to match GPS. My tires are 33s but in the calibrator I had to bring them down to 31 to get the speedometer to be correct. At 33 my speedometer was 2mph faster than my GPS app. I used two apps to confirm speed.

What apps did you use?
