I understand, I agree. I was just curious.

Thank you for the clarification.

So for those of us that just need a tire size correction, or in my case a TPMS correction as well, do I need my own tuner, or can folk loan out and or share a tuner (for a fee, less that the cost of the tuner obviously), it just seems a bit much to purchase a $400 (for Canadians...) tuner, when many probably just sit on the shelf after being bought.

It can only be utilized by one vehicle at a time. It recognizes one vin, so if a person wants to sale it or let thier buddy use it. You have to flash the truck back to stock to unlock.

Default Thanks for the reply.

i would imagine that if someone has one they have used just for tires or TPMS, then it would still work for that function on other trucks? Without reverting the TPMS?
I'm thinking of buying a hypertech 2000, but I have no use for it after the TPMS is solved, so I'd gladly re-sell it after.

Negative. The programmer is locked to your vin. You have to put your truck back to stock to unlock. When you first plug the programmer in, it reads your truck stock profile. If you utilize for what you want and sell it or let some one else use it. It will not work. It only recognizes your vin/stock parameters until flashed back to stock to unlock.

Hey Guys I have a Brand new in box Hypertech Speedometer calibrator for 2015+ F150's for sale. I bought it the other day for $324 CAD after taxes. I have just stumbled upon the Forscan mods and will be tinkering with those instead of using the calibration tool. Located in Alberta Canada. Truck shop doesn't take returns on electronics even tho it's never been used. My loss your gain. Hoping to sell for $280. Please PM me if interested I don't want to clutter up this thread. I know I am supposed to upload a picture with my forum name and date but I have just left for my shift work up north and I am not home to properly submit, I'd like to advertise it now so when I arrive home I could potentially ship it out to a buyer.

Not sound simple here, but the TPMS is a not a tune parameter as far as I am aware, as in when you change it, a tune can be independent of the TPMS system?
I decided to email hypertech, and get their input as well.

Well, as it turns out this can be changed with the Forscan software, so I'll do it that way.

Does the speedometer calibration also fix MPG calculation?
