Default HVAC on with remote start?

I have the manual HVAC control head and I purposely leave it on for when I remote start in the morning (isn't that the point?) but when I get in to leave for work nothing is on until I turn the key...but I did notice the windshield was starting to clear up slowly the other morning before I got in, so I'm not sure what's going on with it.
If I leave the auto HVAC on in my 2007 Explorer and remote start, it's actually on...the button lights, blower and everything.

For some reason, the sales department at my work uses a truck accessory company to install aftermarket remote starts instead of Ford ones...which is fine. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.

This is my first F-150, it's a lease, it doesn't have everything I wanted, so I'll be turning it in for the 'keeper' in a couple years... I just couldn't pass up the deal and I love it more everyday!

My dodge 2013 Laramie would turn on seat heaters or coolers and or AC/heater with auto start depending on outside temp. If my F150 can do it I would sure love to know how. It was really nice. I am sure the technology is there. Is the software?

F-150 does the same thing, along with stearing wheel, rear window defrost, and mirror heat when the ambient temp is low enough.

Posted many times. Those settings are in the Remote Start menu. They need to be turned on by the dealer or with FORScan. No lights on controls, and you can either have it be automatic or last setting.

You said it's an aftermarket remote start. It may not interact with the truck the same as a factory one. Does anyone at you job have the same problem?

Even with an aftermarket remote start?

my 2015's heat, defrosters and heated seats come on automatically with the factory remote start.

How an aftermarket remote start interfaces with the truck's systems is clearly up to that manufacturer. The OEM version interfaces with the truck and a menu system (that has to be enabled) determines how the HVAC works.

You hadn't indicated that you knew that the OEM version requires the menu be enabled in the truck's system by the Dealer or FORScan to be able to pick the settings. Some 3rd parties find a way to do that, apparently some don't. I assume that you actually looked in your menu system for Remote Start settings?
