Lake County you should be fine as long as you don't live in a trailer. I was in Sanford (between Orlando and Daytona) for all the 04 Hurricanes. Wasn't that bad for us.

I a in St Pete now (Tampa Bay area). I 40ft from Tampa Bay. My truck is sitting 6ft above sea level. We are leaving tomorrow. Headed to a friends place in Clearwater. She's is a 20 story all concrete building were I can park my truck on the 3rd floor of the parking garage.

Stay safe on duty man. Good luck. Hopefully both of us will be posting Monday that we are fine, and so is our stuff.

You should be fine OP. I'm in Dade county and riding it out. Not saying it's not too be respected but where your are your biggest concern is flying debris and falling trees

Stay safe everyone!

I was stuck in my hotel for Bonnie for Myrtle. That was tiny compared to this, it was bananas. When Sandy hit Long Island, I was stuck in Vegas (lol) but lots of my family suffered back home unfortunately.

Be smart. Don't risk harm and just hunker down.

Wonder if the OP is OK? Ended up taking a turn and instead of hitting Tampa, it hit lake county, but as a strong Cat 1. I evacuated to Orlando, and Orlando got worse hit than my place ion St Pete. Zero damage at my place in St Pete. Just got power back a few minutes ago. Father in Law's place in Orlando needs a new roof.

Probably still without power or internet. FPL is hoping to have most of South Florida back by midnight Sunday. I know downtown Dade was flooded and the keys were slammed. My girlfriend's father's boat and his neighbors were taken away in the storm

I grew up in big pine key, and they got hit real hard. My old neighborhood got leveled, it looks like aleast 15ft storm surge hit.

fortunately my 2 houses I grew up in that my dad built were unscathed.
Old hood, probably the hardest hit spot anywhere in FL.

I'd believe it. We just got power a few hours ago, and we weren't hit nearly as hard.
