Hub centric ring
I've read forums and most people do recommend them, but no new threads.
I have procomp wheels and tires installed by 4 wheel parts, which I've brought back to them cause of shaking.
1st trip installed
2nd trip RE road forced (actually took weights off, 2oz max on 305/55R20)
Now I order pro comp hub rings which 4 wheel parts tells me that those will make it shake worse.
Another person on the forums has the same wheels and said the rings fixed his issue.
Is 4 wheel parts stupid or will I always have a shake?

Hubcentric = The wheel is centered by the center bore of the wheel fitting around the hub. The lug nuts hold the wheel on, but they do not center it. Most if not all factory wheels are hubcentric.
Lugcentric = Wheel is centered by the lug nuts. This usually means a different type (conical) of lug nut that can center the wheel has to be used. The center bore of the wheel would be larger than the hub.
Aftermarket wheels are almost always lugcentric because it's easier for dealers and distributors to order them that way. All they have to match is the lug pattern and not the lug pattern and the center bore.
When you put on aftermarket wheels, you almost always have to put on "special" lug nuts at the same time. These are the conical lugs that match your new wheels and center them.
You can also use the hub ring, but you still have to use the lugs that match the wheel, so that's why places don't use them. they just center the wheel with the lugs.
OP: if you put on aftermarket wheels and they came with lug nuts, then you probably don't need hub rings. Ask your dealer to explain all this to you and make sure they gave you the right type of lug nuts.

Well try the hub rings and see what happens. It not that expensive and worth a shot. Many aftermarket wheels come with hub centric rings just in case.
I prefer to be hub centric rather than lug centric. If the wheels you got are lug centric, and if you use the correct hub rings, you essentially made the wheels hub centric. Lesser chance of virbrations.

You don't need hub rings if you know how to properly install lug-centric wheels.
The ONLY reason for hub rings is to help install the wheel on centered. Anyone that says otherwise does not know what they are really meant for.
Ensure the wheels are centered, make sure the lug nuts are conical to match the taper of the wheels, and get them re-balanced.

Thank you everyone. I have procomp spline lugs, pro comp wheels and procomp AT sport tires. I'm hoping the pro comp hub rings fix the vibration. Will be selling wheels if not. Last night I was doing 80mph because my wife's battery died in a empty dark parking lot and I was scared the vibration would loosen the lugs. YES I've checked to see if they were tight.
70mph plus is shakey, is that expected from a AT 10ply tire?
