How to tell if your truck has the FX4 package without decals
Is there a way I can tell if my truck (2015 SCREW Lariat) has the FX4 package without having the decals on it, I have 4x4 decals on mine. What exactly is the difference?
Thanks

The FX4 decals are part of the package, Ford even list them on the window sticker. FX4 also come with skid plates. Easiest way to tell is the FX4 sticker though

I am not familiar with that model year but I think the easiest way to determine if your truck is an FX4 is if the hill descent control exists on your truck or not. Other tell tale is factory skid plates but that may not be as obvious if you don't know what you should be looking for.
Edit, here is an article on the differences for 2015's. I do believe the "easiest" way to determine if your truck is an FX4 is whether it is equipped with hill descent control or not.

Don't use this site It thinks I have a 2016 King Ranch with 6.5 ft bed and a 2.7 eco. lol I Dont think a King Ranch offered the 2.7 but that is the only thing it had right.

Haha ya that does bring up a good question. To someone who doesn't look up the VIN or doesn't have access to the window sticker... would you readily tell them that hill descent control was added? I don't know. One would have to assume that it would most likely not come up if you were trading, and doesn't have a terribly high probably of coming up during a private sale. I know too many people that don't bother with details like that.

I’m confused.
My sticker has 4x4, I have the 4x4 dial, but I don’t have the hilll descent control.
Am I missing something?

has left the building
Near the bottom of the brochure shows the different option packages the vehicle can have, one box is for FX4 options.
It will list what is included in FX4.
If you have factory 4x4 stickers, you probably don't have FX4. If the stickers are not factory, who knows what stickers the previous owner slapped on. Not sure why somebody would remove the FX4 sticker to replace with factor 4x4 sticker. Owner could have a favorite 4x4 sticker to replace the FX4 though.

gotcha. I’m the second owner and I haven’t seen too many limiteds come with FX4 so that makes sense. Thanks for the clarifying!
