Default How to remove waterspots on Windshield?

Ive only had my truck since May and the water spots that have developed on the windshield and other glass is crazy. They make the glare at night from headlights 10x worse. What do I do to remove them? I've tried glass cleaner, retailer, and today a razor blade with Windex which removed some of it. I may have to take it to a professional detailer to polish the glass.
Thanks-

I use this a couple of times a year and it's absolutely magic!

*One caution .. use a nice soft towel or microfiber as a friend of mine used a scotchbrite green sponge to get off some bug debris and it actually scratched his glass!! I've always used hand towels and have NO problems with scratches!!

On our boat we use a 50/50 mix of vinegar/water to remove hard water spots. Works great and it's cheap.

I too use vinegar and water combo early on. Then I used windshield polish to get em nice an clear.

After that I ALWAYS used distilled water in a sprayer and a waffle weave towel to "clean" the glass. Sometimes I'd clean the glass this way between washes but at the time I had unlimited car washes at the local wash so the truck always get a wash at least once a week.

Unlike glass cleaner - distilled water leaves no streaks behind. It also evaporates pretty quick.

I've tried a lot of options as my 2015 Explorer had 1.5% tint on the rear windows, 20% tint on the fronts & 50% on the windshield. Needless to say tinted windows show EVERYTHING so I was very in tune with keeping the glass more clean than the vehicle itself!

I use clay and invisible glass and it works great.

They make buffing pads and polish just for windshields. Griots Garage is where I got mine.

Clay should remove it pretty easily and has very little chance of hurting anything. And if that doesn’t work you can use 0000 steel wool but carefully.
