Would anyone no how to remove this trim piece, I need to run some wire for my dash cam and it would help if I could get it behind this part.

Thanks

What is it?

Without context, I have no idea even what part of the truck that is.

That looks like the cover at the base of the rear view mirror... My truck doesn't have that cover but mine is just a lowly xlt.

Sorry that is what I'm guessing is the cover for the rain sensing system.

I need to remove mine also to wire my radar detector but don't wanna break it. Anyone know how to safely do this?

Update 4/27/15: I was able to get the top half of the cover off by using a credit card to push in the metal tabs clamping it onto the headliner. Slide the credit card about one inch from each side to engage the metal tab and it should come loose. The wiring harnesses for the rain sensor and lane keeper plug in just at the edge of the headliner.

I need to do this as well. I didn't want to be the first one to do it tho. Hopefully someone is brave enough to attempt sometime soon

I pulled mine off to install my radar detector wiring. Just give it a tug and it pops right off and snaps back on when your finished.
