How to recenter steering wheel
#11
If you hate twisted steering wheels don't get a Jag XF. Damn thing was nearly impossible to get the steering wheel centered. The alignment was nuts on, but there was a tiny bit of slop in the wheel which meant even if they set it "straight" during the alignment when they finished it was actually twisted to one side or the other. It's a very common problem on XF's and after the 5th alignment I just gave up on it.
On the plus side i really got my money's worth on that 3 year alignment deal for it.

Ha yeah thats probably one of the things that gets on my nerve the most, driving a vehicle and the wheel is not centered. Not sure why just feels weird. But anyway took it back in and they realigned it, its perfect now. Got to talking with the tech that did the alignment and he said the guy that did the alignment first, doesn't really know what he is doing and he was not sure why they let him do it in the first place. Comforting to say the least.

Steering wheel center is one step of the alignment process.
If they didn't do this properly, what else did they not do properly?
I wouldn't be going there again.
Forgot? - Not a chance.
