Default How Much Is Invoice?

Is invoice a certain percentage of sticker? The paperwork I got shows a sticker of 55470, and invoice of 51248.92 as invoice. The extra .92 cents is from a fuel charge. Does anyone know if that is a real invoice price?

Depend on the truck, but you can make close assumptions the way your talking. The base truck will always be the same, but some options have Upcharge to sticker as well, and some do not changing the %. My truck was 54 and change from the factory, invoice was 48 and change.

No, invoice is not a CERTAIN % of sticker...that would make it too easy. The best way to determine invoice is ask the dealer to show you the Ford manufacturer-to-dealer factory invoice (not some pseudo-invoice document prepared by the dealer). Another way is to research specific invoice on many build/price websites or do a VERY ROUGH approximation by multiplying MSRP by ~ 0.91 (varies by trim model). If you're Canadian, you have to go to the gates of hell and back to determine pricing details that are very transparent in the U.S. What 'paperwork' did you base your stated invoice number on?

truecar.com will show you what invoice is on a truck you build with options.

cars.com does the same thing. There has been a real recent price increase so it may be off some till they get it updated.

It was the vehicle confirmation form, although I just realized that the sheet says "this is not an invoice" even though it has 2 columns for price Retail and DLR INV. The numbers on that sheet matched cars.com, if that means anything. Cars.com says a good target price before incentives to be 51,128.00. I already ordered the truck and got priced at 48,863 before incentives and rebates.

Ordered truck:
King Ranch
600A
Oxford White and Caribou
SCrew 6.5 Foot Bed
5.0 V8
4x4 3.55 Locking Diff
Tow Package
Extended Range Tank
20" Rims

I feel like its a good deal, I was just curious as to how everybody seems to know the invoice price. COTUS says delivery should be 5/10, hope its right.

Some dealers will literally provide you the factory-generated invoice. Super boring looking old computer monospaced font form. It has a column for the invoice price and suggested retail price for each line item. At the bottom it will show the invoice price, along with the A/Z/D/X plan pricing. Sometimes they whip up a different form that might show "invoice pricing" on it but there's no way to know for sure until you see the first one.

Since you ordered, you won't see the actual invoice unless the truck is on the lot. But they can print that order acknowledgement or whatever form that you saw and that's the best you can do with an order.

If that form showed an invoice of 51248, and your sales price (no incentives/rebates/tax/etc) was 48863 (on a 55470 MSRP) then you *killed* it on pricing.
