Default How many keys?

Hello everyone
I just bought a new 2017 F150. We left the dealership with what looks like a valet key. they could not find any other keys for the truck but said they owed us a fob key. Shouldn't the truck come with two fob keys plus the valet key? I'm thinking I'm gonna get shorted a key. Any thoughts?

On your delivery paperwork it should have been noted that they owe you a key. Never rely on what someone "says", especially at a dealership.

Yes. Went through the same thing in 2001 with a used 2000 F-150 used. 4.2 with 5 speed manual fun truck to drive. Bought on Sat. wife called dealer on Mon talked to manager. He said he would find key. He called back and asked how to get key to wife. She went and picked it up. Manager told her someone lost job over it. Stick to your guns. If dealer said heowed you one, be sure to get it. Best of luck and enjoy your new truck.

Once you get your extra key, go into MyKey and program it as a valet key. In other words, restrict the speed of the vehicle with it and use that as your valet key

Check your owners manual for instructions. Congrats on your new ride!

Yes They did write on the paperwork that they owed us a key. But I'm thinking it should be two fob keys since they only gave us what looks like a valet key.

yes it's brand new. 32 miles when I got in to test drive. The funny thing is the salesman was showing me their fancy key inventory system. Computer controlled lock boxes that they have to login in to to get the keys. And then we went out on the lot the first truck I opened to get into the key was laying in the seat! And then the truck we ended up with they could not find either of the fob keys.
