If that's the case then the truck may outlive you.

Is this really a serious question?

The owner of the company I work for has a 1949 F1, so his is 70 years old so that would put us at 2089 if my math is correct.

Mike

I just got rid of my 2001. Mileage wasn't the issue. Front end needed to be rebuild at 170K miles and 16 years old. Heater core failed at 15 years old. At 18 years all the plastic was failing, carpet worn through, seats getting thread bare, electrical was getting less reliable. The engine and transmission had nothing to do with the truck's age related issues. This is a truck that always sat outside and was not babied. I expect the new trucks to have a similar life. Took two days to sell when I offered it up at five grand.

motor might be good, but all the electronic will crap out on ya. plastic body parts will fail..
Interior are cheap. after a few years will see wear and tear.

ones on here reflecting on old trucks. Not the same no comparison. they do not
come close to the electronic now. truck have more and thinner plastics

I've seen a lot of high-mileage vehicles, and they were driven under all kinds of conditions.

The only thing they had in common was good maintenance.

If you spend the time, effort, and cash to take good care of it, it will last.

Read the posts on here. Soft paint, soft windshields, peeling wheels, leaking oil pans, rough shifting, clogged intercoolers, carbon build up, IWE failures, dash warp, water leaks, leather seats wrinkling, bad shocks, auto start-stop, limp mode. I predict you will be lucky if it lasts a month.

Do NOT try to get 214,643 kms out of it.

This!! This is exactly why I’m hesitant in buying a F 150. My 2000 5.4 Expy 4x4 has 184,xxx and is pristine. Garage kept entire life. No seat tears. No rust on body. Runs reliably and silky smooth. I wanted to hand it down to my son and buy a pu F-150 w V8 but it’s all the electronics that fail so soon that gives me pause.

This is is true for all new regardless of make. Dodge, Chevy and Ford.

Drove this truck 21 years. Just regular maintenance. Only sold it to buy the '16.

Still driving this one at 27 years. Just regular maintenance.
