How to get an X-Plan?
Since ordering my truck back in August, I have changed jobs and in doing so lost my X-Plan. I take delivery next week and would sure like to secure another before. Any ideas how I can get one?
Thanks.
Thanks.
^^^ X2. I am not sure of the accuracy of this link, but it is comprehensive. http://www.oxmoorflm.com/ford-a-x-z-...ner-companies/
X-plan is for someone who has no negotiating skills or the lack of desire to negotiate. You can usually beat X-plan by a large margin just by searching advertised prices at a volume dealer in your area.
A-plan is closer to a good deal, but still leaves some money on the table.

Many that "negotiate" deals miss the following key things:
1) What is your time worth? I can walk in a dealership with X-Plan and drive away. Many on these forums spend weeks or more calling, emailing, visiting, "negotiating".
2) There are other things in the mix than the price of the vehicle. X-Plan limits a dealer to $100 paperwork fee. Many post $499, $599, or more fees. Many also focus on the car price and don't focus on the trade-in price, and get hosed on that. Or they don't focus on financing, and get hosed on that. Most people basically stink at getting a good overall deal.
I was trained by one of the top companies in the world in sales. I know every tactic, and how to respond to it. I simply can't be bothered, I have more important things to do. That's why my last 2 vehicles will be X-Plan, and my next will be A-Plan (since we now qualify for that via a family connection).

^^ True. Xplan is nothing special. You can negotiate a much better deal usually. Especially on year end vehicles.
I agree that you can beat X-Plan pricing, I did, but watch out for Doc fees, especially if they are in the $500+ area, as many dealers are.
Document Fees
Dealers will be permitted to assess up to $100 in documentary fees on each delivery to an eligible purchaser under the terms of the Plan, unless otherwise provided by state or local laws or regulation. Each dealer is responsible for complying with applicable laws or regulations.
