Default How do I remove turbo flutter?

I bought a F150 a while back which had an aftermarket exhaust and turbo flutter. It was nice for a while but now I want to quiet it down. Is there a part I have to put on the turbo to make it stop making that sound?

Probably a tuning issue. Unless you're referring to a BOV.

And if you’re not referring to the BOV than try a stock exhaust.

Make sure the BOV is a recirculation type. The common flutter sound is a BOV vented to atmosphere.

Does it make a Whoosh sound After you let off the gas? Then its the BOV they removed!

Yeah everytime I let off the gas pedal it does the woosh sound. I will look up how to find that and I guess reinstall it? Hopefully it’s not too hard.

where would I find a stock exhaust? I’ve looked for them online but I only see performance exhausts. Maybe at the dealership?

Maybe this? Seems like a 2 minute fix if that's the issue - remove plug and reinstall onto wastegate.

As for the exhaust if you're really set on have the OEM one then you can try the dealer ($$$$$), or a wrecking yard, or see if somebody is selling a "Take-off" on FB, Forum, Craigslist, etc.
