Default How do I paint this?

It appears that this is covered by a vinyl sticker but I'm not really sure. Any ideas on how I could paint this?

It’s a sensor. I’ve seen those on a few of the higher trim trucks.

Paint them like any other plastic part. Adhesion promotor > primer > base coat > clear coat.

Going forward, keep high pressure washers at a safe distance from painted plastic (mirror caps, parking sensors, and grilles). Paint does not appear to adhere as well to plastic compared to steel and aluminum.

Yup, my Lariat has them too. I think it's so the truck doesn't side swipe something if you have it parallel park itself.

I'd use white spray plasti-dip. Clean it with some iso alcohol, mask around it and give it two or three coats. Will stay for as long as you want, you can peel it off later if you don't like it, and it will be alot easier than trying to strip, prep, prime, spray & clearcoat, which will likely flake off again anyway. Plasti-dip will stay and can take high pressure water without flaking off.

Just don't lay it on too thick. In my vinyl class we were warned about covering up any kind of sensor on a vehicle like back-up, auto park, cruise radars, etc.
