Default How Do I Get Rid of Annoying Sync 3 Vers. 3.0 Message

I receive the following message that remains on the screen until I acknowledge it after upgrading from Sync version 2.3 to 3.0. I tried turning off the "Wi-Fi availability Notification" without success. The message shows up every time I cycle the start button. Can it be disabled?

Try turning off auto update in settings. Worked for me.

Well, I guess that will work since neither one of my 2016 Ford's will update over Wi-Fi despite sitting within 20 feet of the router and modem. Ford (Sync) needs to fix this programming screw up.

I believe that will go away once you connect to a valid Wi-Fi with the correct passcode . It then knows you acknowledged with the Auto Update activated it will work. As far as the Wi-Fi range, I had the router more than 40' away and through several walls and it linked with no problems. With that said I have yet to have an update go through the Wi-Fi even with a strong signal. Both times I had to update with a USB.

I chatted with Sync representative. I appears this is a new issue for the upgrade. She recommends a master reset first. I will try it tonight and report back.

I had it and like stated once you connect to a wifi network it will go away. I also did a check for updates on wifi.

My truck connects to my home Wi-Fi every time I return home. The problem is still there. Even more annoying, I discovered that when the Wi-Fi network is dropped and it picks up a new one the message returns.

Master reset fixed the problem with the message. Now, I need to figure out why it can not verify the update status after 20 minutes of scrolling connected to my home network.

Had the sync wifi message after update at dealer. Two service advisors tried to remove it at dealer. While they tried i turned off wi-fi in my smart phone. Message went away. They cycled ignition on-off while looking for solution. Wi-fi back on at home; message still does not come up when ignition turned on! Try turning off smart phone wifi and cycle ignition off/on.

For moi - I applied the first upgrade manually - dealer tells me that from now on it should down load the updates over its cellular system and not require access to a wifi - which I'm pretty sure is bull. Lets see how it actually handles the next update
