Default How to deactivate the auto off-on

Bought a new 2019 F150 5.0 FX4 off road. Love it so far except when you come to a stop light it shuts off. I hate that and it must be hard on the starting system.
Is there away to turn it off? The dealer must have turned it off because on my 15 mile test drive it never did it.

Thanks in advance

But that does deactivate it permanently?

Permanently until you turn the truck off. There are a couple options to disable it 'permanently', each have their pros and cons. There's a thread with lots of good info already, but gist is you can trick the truck into thinking there's a trailer attached, there's an 'autostart eliminator' product that costs 100 some bucks, and then there are some other hacks that are hotly debated that work, but unknown impact to other systems on the truck.

Like others have said you can push the button on the dash. This only
works on the current key cycle.

On your test drive, the salesman might have pushed the button or the truck wasn’t up to operating temperature. When I test drove my wife’s JGC it never shut off on me because it didn’t get up to temp, by the time it was up to temp I didn’t have any long stops.

Here are just a few
  • Disconnect plug at Battery (Disables BMS)
  • Disable BMS with forscan
  • Jumper wire on button
  • Unplug connector on trailer light module near brake pedal (Lose trailer brake lights)
  • Install a test plug in the 4 or 7 pin trailer connector
  • Turn on Sport mode (works 17+?)
  • Commercially available product. I use Autostop Eliminator

I did a search on here but I must not have worded it correctly.

Thanks all!
