My brother used to work for the the rail company putting new cars on trains. He said some cars have a sticker on the dash about the odometer not being activated yet..until delivery. So if ford does this those .2 miles could be from driving on and off trains/trucks.

Mines off as well, noticed it when i got the truck. I'm wondering if the trip meter is set to 0 from the dealer or exiting testing. I've seen videos of fords process and when they exit the assembly line they have people test driving them on a short course for any issues mainly noises that shouldn't be, they drive over bumps and stuff for testing.

It could have come from loss of power. I pulled the odometer to upgrade my cluster to the 8" version, and when I found out I wasn't going to be able to correct the mileage on the new cluster I put the old one back in. Truck never moved but the odometer went from 3562.1 before it was removed to 3562.5 after I plugged it back in.

I just noticed the title says How could this new? Should have been How could this be?

Thanks for the input. I just thought it odd but it appears that it's not that uncommon.

Mine was like that when I got it but it has actually evened out in the past 14,000 miles. I just noticed it the other day.

You just made me go back to the top and re-read it. I thought it said "How could this be New?"
I probably would have never noticed if you hadn't said anything
