Default Hood latch

The latch on my 2018 does not pop the hood up an inch or so when the release is pulled inside the cab like I'm used to on prior vehicles. You have to pull up on the hood to gain access to the lever to fully release it. Is this normal or should I get it adjusted while I'm still in the 3/36 warranty period?

That is normal. You don't have a spring creating tension on the hood anymore, like there was old school.

Mine goes up about when I pull the release like all other vehicles I've ever owned.

Mine used to pop up when pulled but no longer does. I can't find any alignment issues or excess friction in the latch. '19 only a year old

Mine started doing this at just under 2 years old. Had the dealership look at it while it was in for an oil change and was told it needed a new hood release cable that would be covered by the warranty. Took 1 week to obtain the cable and 3 hours to install. No problems since having it replaced.

It should pop up just high enough to stick your fingers in and release the secondary latch.

My '15 started doing it after 5 years, like yours just needed lubrication.
