Also realize that they are under no obligation to expose internal process changes or anomalies - nothing in their contractual verbiage speaks to that. Yep - you do NOT own it yet.

Additionally - are you not aware of the current lead time delay for extended tanks? It's been discussed - a LOT. So - being self-informed does hep with the ol' BP. And it hep ye manage ye expectations.

You nailed yer choice; wait or walk. It's that simple. Not gonna change a single solitary thing at the end of the day - for anyone other than yeseff. It's not gonna engender a massive exodus of frustrated would-be owners to seek solace and free kleenex at a Doodge er Chebbie dealership. Most appear to me as having a smidge of tolerance and patience... and perhaps something to keep them otherwise occupied. That's whut me hobbies be fer me - and me 'honey-do' list, lol.

Bottom line - yer not singularly special or entitled - so don't demand that Ford treat you as such. There is no weapon being held to ye head.

Rant noted.

PS - just so you know, yer Sexist remark concerning our very nice Ford Service reps is Report-worthy. There is NO Place for that offensive nonsense here.
You sound as though I should be grateful for the opportunity to buy this thing from Ford. That's just not reality, or at least it's not my reality, but I'll allow that it may be yours. Perhaps it's Ford's as well. Are you in any way affiliated with Ford, other than as a buyer of their products?

Regarding the useless Customer Service Babes: report away. I'm shaking in my boots. When people can't provide anything more than "I'll look into it", and/or "I'll elevate this to a customer claim issue" (or some such crap) and then fail to do anything, without providing any information more than what I can glean fro this site (in fact far less); that meets my definition of "useless".

I guess that I just expect more than you.

I do not agree in the thinking that is what it is. I had two vin's same truck except one had fx4 over the top of the other(only option different. One Vin 09679, one 09680, built same shift, the 80 arrived at dealership three days ago and 79 (mine) is still in Michigan built 22 days ago. Could it be a random sample to solve issues? I sold my old vehicle, because Cotus told me 4/19....I put to much faith in that thing.

Hey I'm in Halifax and the exact same thing is happening to me mine was built April 10 and is still sitting in Dearborn ... I have heard and read of issues with trains and a lack of them ( specifically double decker rail cars that can accommodate full size trucks ), Google it , lol Toyota is having the same issues , but don't worry warren buffet is saving the day , and buying a tonne of rail cars , but that will be years from now ... I feel your pain , and the dealers or ford should be doing something to make up for the delays

A couple of weeks ago one of the Customer Service Reps advised me that there was a "plant hold" on mine, but couldn't provide any details. Last week another CSR told me that the hold was lifted and that it was back to "awaiting shipping". The Sales Manager at my dealer can't provide any additional information. There is no ETA information on mine in COTUS.

I am starting to feel that there must be something wrong with it that I'm not being told. From the sounds of many of the posts here at this site, it appears that it may be a very general problem; probably the manufacturer wanting to avoid some future recall evolution.

I understand the manufacturer not wanting to ship a product with known defects. I also understand that at this point in time I do not own the vehicle. However, I do not understand the lack of communication. Being shuffled from one Customer Service Babe to another doesn't constitute good customer service. Truth and accuracy matters.

As a buyer (or potential buyer, at this point in time) of a $50K product, I expect better treatment than this. My dealer advised me that there would be about an 8 week wait for an ordered f150 when I ordered it, and that's fine. However at the end of 11 weeks now, with no end in sight, and no further information coming from the "mother ship", I'm not only becoming concerned about the quality of the product, I am now also becoming a bit pissed off.

Without further explateration, I think that if I haven't received a satisfactory explanation for the delay, and an accurate ETA by this time next week, I will very likely cancel my order. It's a truck; it ain't the Mona Lisa, and there are lots of alternatives out there. Friday Night Rant off.
Completely agree!

And I understand things happen in the build process, and I appreciate the fact they may be checking for problems before letting it out the door. My problem is with the TERRIBLE and borderline insulting lack of communication to a buyer spending $60k. I'm a semi-patient man, and very understanding. Just give me the truth. No bull****. The lack of "give a ****" on their part is embarrassing. And still I sit here not knowing if I'll be waiting another week, or a month, or longer...

I am in about the same boat as others here, I ordered the end of December. I had a build date of March 20th with a ETA of april 6th. About March 25th the ETA left cotus & has not been seen since. I asked ford service on here a few times but the last two weeks they have just said they are not sure whats going on?
Kind of funny when you think about it but I can track a $5.00 package I ship with USPS or UPS but Ford cant find my $55000 truck.
I am about ready to jump ship & go look at different brands also & when the dealer calls & says my truck is in drive into there lot with my new Chevy & tell them I don't need it anymore.
Sorry for the Rant but I don't have much else to do as Friday night is my normal clean the truck up night.
