Default High pressure injector issue

Hey all, 👋
I am having a bunch of work done on my truck (2018 5.0 4x2 auto)and it's been in the shop since the week before Thanksgiving. They are nearing the end but to make a long story short, after doing the timing chain, cam phasers, having the heads totally rebuilt (valve spring snapped, burnt valve). They are putting the fuel system back together and they are telling me they can't source these small little black clips that go onto the end of the injector above the orange o ring. Does anyone know where to get these things or if they even need to be replaced? Attaching photos of an injector with and without the clip. And the broken spring. Any help is awesome

I'm kind of surprised at the lack of responses. Thought some others would have run into this issue before.

It may not be an accessible part. Looking at the pictures attached it comes as an assembly. Any of the online supply houses will have a breakdown with itemized part #s. These pics came from Parts.Ford.com which I've found a good resource.

You might take them to an injector service and see if they could supply them. Getting them renewed doesn't cost much either.

thank you for the response. I looked for a breakdown of the individual pieces but was unable to locate one for that specific part number. I will look to see if there are any rebuild services near me. Thanks again for the thoughtful response

When I go here looking for injector rebuild kits and put in 2018 f150 5, it says 1 result but doesn't actually link the result. LOL

Does this kit have the part you need?

Yes I believe it does. I will send it to my mechanic to verify. Thank you .

Just my two cents.. If I am paying someone to do a job for me, its their problem to find the parts.

Agreed I just want my truck back and I'm tired of waiting. At this point if it means me sending them the correct info to finish the job correctly I'm game. I, nor anyone else I interact with will ever go to that shop again. That's all I have control over at this point.
