Default Hi!

First post in...

I have the truck in the Sig. Just picked it up. Asked the wife what are some cosmetic changes she'd like to do first. She said black background Ford emblems and black matte (Preferred) or black chrome F-150 logo's for the fenders and tail gate.

Through searching I found many options. What are the good ones and what are crap? I noticed you can order OEM ones with red backing. Would that red match my truck? Any that are simply solid black?

I look forward to terroriz.....err being a part of the community.

Thank you.

Welcome

plastidip is what many have used. There is a member here that does an expert job of painting emblems but you could plastidip to see if you like it first.

Hi and welcome.

If you want an easy and reliable option - a 10$ can of matte black plastidip will do the job just fine. All you need is some masking tape, news paper and 3-4 coats. If you don't like it, it peels off like saran wrap so you can start over again. Search for my introductory thread. I did my emblems a few weeks ago!

I'm not a fan of plasti-dip. I've used some before and was less than thrilled with the final finish. I'll take a look on ebay and see what I can find. Worse case get some OEM ones and airbrush them myself.
