Default Help!! Vibration issue

2016 Limited.. 2k miles. Can not get rid of vibration especially when tires cold, at 75/80 mph.. vibration in pedals, floor, seat.. not really in steering wheel. Been to shop twice, road balances, retourqued and everything.. anyone with same issues? Not a Scorpion tire fan on my 2012 either, any ideas..?

Should I just suggest an out of balance driveshaft? It's truly a vibration that is telling me something is wrong. I've never had one like this..

Think I remember someone on the forum having the same issue and it was a bad transfer case.

It could be the tires them selves, they actually have a break in period also, you are supposed to drive them at different speeds for a time, trying not to drive the same speed all the time or not taking the same rout to and from work and so on.

Your tires could be "flat spotting". This can happen when the tires are cold and have been sitting for a while, sometimes just overnight. Some tires are worse than others for this. After you drive the truck for a while, does the vibration go away?

Also, a driveshaft vibration (of which I am very familiar with) will be a very rapid vibration, almost a buzzing type frequency, due to the fact that the driveshaft spins between 3 and 4 times the rate of the wheels/tires. A tire issue will be more of a "thump thump thump" type vibration at a lower frequency.

Prob more of thump thump.. I bought the truck cause it had exactly what I wanted on it, but sat in showroom for 6-8 months... just found that out. Should I push for tires? Ford guy said the driveshaft weights were fine. Nothing out of balance..

Aha! I would definitely suspect flat spotted tires if it indeed sat for that long in one spot. Flat spots can be temporary or permanent depending on how long the tires sat idle. A wheel can be perfectly balanced, but with flat spots on the tires, you will get that "thump thump" when driving. Easy way to check this, if the dealer is cooperative, is to swap wheels/tires with another truck on the lot. This will prove if the tires are the issue.

Here are a couple of articles on this...

Here is something to try:

Get truck vibrating at a constant speed on highway.
Carefully put truck in neutral. Does vibration change/lessen?
If so, then your driveshaft angles are out. most likely your pinion angle.
