Default Help Please! 4x4 Noise - Not typical check valve post

I am at a loss. I have had problems with my 4x4 system (TOD 4A system in a 2015 Lariat) for a while ~ since prior to 15,000k now only at about 33,000.

Dealer has replaced my hubs (TWICE). Vacuum system replaced. Check valves ... Multiple drive alongs - and after getting past the "failure to replicate" b.s. showed up to the dealership multiple times and took the back shop and front of house service people out with me so there was no excuse.

Currently the noise which I can only describe as a groaning / moaning and what feels like resistance in the driveline is so loud you can hear it in the videos I will attempt to attach.

Had basically everyone at the dealership involved in the troubleshoot. Opened up a customer service case with ford. And supposedly the dealer just had a regional tech person come out to check it out.

I need to know - Is this "Normal" for anyone else on this site?! I have driven multiple (4 2015+ Lariats and Platinums with various mileage) back to back to mine and heard nothing like this?

Need help. Been dealing with this for months.

[Also - FYI I have had the grinding/ catching persist even into 2H in the past prior to them replacing the Hubs and what is currently happening in the 4A/4H has always been the precursor to the 2H issues (ford wont even talk about that)]

Dumb question but did they check the fluid level in the transfer case and front differential? Maybe also check the fluid itself for metal shavings etc.

Also, can you tell where the noise is coming from, like the front axle or the TC area? Perhaps a GoPro type camera under there might help narrow it down?

Mine does make a bit of sound in 4WD but not that low groaning noise like in your video.

Well, my 16 at 26K had the front diff tear itself up. They had to replace the R&P and all the bearings. It made a noise like bad tires make on a grooved highway. I had just had new tires put on, and thought maybe the tires were noisy, but also had a vibration. It was most extreme when slowing from 55 MPH and right around 50 you could really feel it.

Well that lasted all of a week, its vibrating again, and I occasionally hear a ghost when coming to a stop. Low pitched moaning, and once I heard it screech. At 70-80 MPH, the truck shakes enough that all the passengers can feel it, and I hear an occasional clunk when turning.

Mine is a Lariat 502a, so why would the front diff be worn out when I rarely ever had it in 4WD, maybe 5-10 miles all told since day one. It goes back in Tuesday, visit #7 for various things. Not at all pleased with this, to quote Trump, S***hole of a truck.

Mine's been making some noise as well, will try to get a video of it. Not sure it's quite like yours though.

Also thought it might be helpful to do what seadragon suggests - check fluid condition in the diff/TC, and if possible, mount a camera underneath and see if you can see anything, or attempt to pinpoint the noise.

Sound goes away when switched to 2Hi (except for the noise you mention)?

Just had my drivers side wheel bearing and IWE replaced for this issue, but I don't think it fixed it. Wondering if its in the front diff or TC now.

Do you get the occasional very high frequency vibration? My '16 Lariat is going in Monday for what seems to be the same issue. It seems like even in 2wd occasionally there seems to be some resistance from the front drivers side wheel, but mostly a hum in 4a or 4h, along with a whuh whuh whuh sound when slowing.

Curious, your first video was in 4H. The second video was on dry pavement. Have you been running in 4H on dry pavement?
