Ok all, don't flame me too bad.
We have many knowledgeable members here and some smart ***** too….LOL.
I have done 2"RC level and now have a near level truck. Maybe 1/2" rake and if tank is full just about dead level.
Monday BFG KO2 285/65R20's go on.
QUESTIONS are about rear end...Shocks and Blocks, AAL or whatever.
I'm going in steps to make sure I get the look I want.
I guess my '17 King Ranch has 1 1/4" rear blocks. If I go with 2" , 2 1/4" or even 2 1/2" blocks I understand the gains to get some rake back in place maybe 1 1/2".
WHAT happens to the stock shocks at full travel? Is the shock what lifts the rear tire off the ground if you go too far?
I read up on Bilsteins rear shocks and it sounds like they are better yet for the same size as stock trucks not the +1 or 1 1/4" blocks.
So are the Fox, Halos or whatever worth the added travel?
Backround a bit....I want a reasonable to stock or better ride. Off road is next to nothing...Cabin but the roads are pretty normal dirt roads (not rough trail stuff), I tow an ATV trailer with 3 good size machines or a 18ft fishing boat.
Nothing is extreme or above a stock trucks capabilities, I just like the looks but want a little function as well
THANKS ALL.
I am running 6112's at 2.1" with 5100's rear and a replacement 2.25" block. Gives me 1.5" of rake. Go with Bilstein's and you wont regret it. The 5100's definitely do work with taller blocks no problem. The shocks even states "Can handle 1" of additional rear lift".

I second this. 275/65/20 BFGs (not far from the 285/65/20). 2.5" strut spacer up front and 2.25" replacement block in the rear. All shocks are stock. Photo is on level ground so the rake should be pretty accurate. This was my previous 15' F150. My current trucks details are in my signature. I don't regret going to the 5100s over stock at all. In fact, anybody with an F150 that asks about my truck (level, etc.) I recommend them at the very least to change out the rear factory shocks for the 5100s, especially if they are adding/changing the rear block.

Are you running 275/65's on your truck? 2.5" level, rear block? I've been looking for a good side shot. I am getting ready to have a set installed, still trying to weigh between 65's vs 60's.

On that truck in the picture, yes, I was running 275/65/20 BFG KO2s, 2.5" strut spacer and 2.25" rear block. I had no rub until I added 1.5" BORA wheel spacers. After the spacers, I rubbed the front crash bar slightly at full lock in reverse. It was tolerable for a while then I trimmed a piece of the crash bar lengthwise so majority of it was still there. I'm currently running 2.1" on the 5100s up front, stock block and 5100s in the rear and 305/55/20 BFG KO2s. Wheels are 20x9 +1 with no rub. I liked the stance of both. The truck in the pic was definitely taller than my current truck but my current truck rides a lot smoother.

Rear shocks are usually only ~$200 per pair for an upgrade over stock. Most people tend to do shocks at the same time as the blocks. For an estimate of height gains, measure your stock blocks. Subtract that measurement from the height of the new blocks you want to order. Now you know how much lift you're getting. Retailers will tell you which part number to use based on how much height you're gaining over stock with the blocks. 0-2", 2-4", etc.
